CAST

MARIAN SORENSEN (Rian Fielding) is quickly becoming Hollywood’s newest indie darling. Her performances are said to be raw, emotional, honest and enchanting. Sorensen is fresh from her big win at the 2013 Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival where she earned the Critics Choice Award for Best Actress for her feature film The Daughter. The Daughter is earning accolades and attention all around the world. Being sold internationally by Fabrication Films, it can be found in Japan, South Korea and the Middle East. The Daughter is distributed in North America by Inception Media Group and is an Official Selection at the 2014 Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema. Marian is also in the midst of writing a television workplace comedy pilot and she works with a fantastic team at Infinitive Films where she is constantly in development on future projects including a digital horror series and a feature film set in post World War II Russia. Sorensen graduated from the University of Southern California with degrees in Theater and Communications. KEVIN McCORKLE (Tom Fielding) is a veteran actor with over twenty-nine years of consistent work in entertainment. Upcoming films are 0000, MIDNIGHT SON, STEALING ROSES and of course THE DAUGHTER.   In November of 2011 you would’ve seen him as Jack Cranston in the hit show BODY OF PROOF.  On stage you can see him in MACHINAL at THE OPEN FIST THEATRE where he has appeared in over six productions. As a professor at the University of Southern California and through his private coaching practice he has developed ACTING IN MOTION, a practical approach to artistic entrepreneurial success.  He is co-owner and President of FREE LUNCH PRODUCTIONS a full service media production company. DREW HOWERTON (Zero/Robert Michaels) is an actor and writer living in Los Angeles.

 


MICHAEL TEH (One/Daniel Lathem) is an ethnically ambiguous, sophisticated Benjamin Bratt-meets-Keanu Reeves, leading man and villain. He has spent large portions of his life in the US, UK and Australia, and after several degrees and careers, commenced full-time theater and improv training in New York, before moving to Los Angeles. He has worked on over 40 films, mostly in lead roles. Dramatic leads include playing: opposite Adrian Paul in “Lost Colony: The Legend of Roanoke” (SyFy prime-time premiere); the antagonist in the martial arts film “White Wall”; the heroic Queequeg in “2010: Moby Dick” opposite Renee O’Connor and Barry Bostwick; and most recently playing the Han Solo-esque Captain Roscoe Simms in “Air Collision” with Jordan Ladd. He has also played Jesus Christ in “The 3 Angels’ Messages”; a rock star in “Groupie” with Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts; and was one of the few survivors in the cult, internet trailer hit “Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus” (SyFy). JOE SOFRANKO (Ian Leel) grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, moved out to California to attend the BFA Acting program at the University of Southern California, and is currently an actor in Los Angeles. Film: The Whisperer in Darkness, Prairie Dogs, Love Sick, Drunk In Love, Until College. TV: Rules of Engagement (CBS), The Sing Off: Season 1 (NBC). Commercial: Honda, Bud Light, Rasmussen College, Living Spaces. Regional Theatre: Utah Shakespeare Festival—Cyrano de Bergerac, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Othello; Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park—Inherit the Wind, A Christmas Carol; Company of Angels—L.A. Views: Hunger and the City; Boom Kat Dance Theatre—NeverWonderLand (Ovation-nominated), The Jungle Book. USC School of Theatre: A Flea in Her Ear (Chandebise/Poche), Brigadoon (Tommy Albright), The Crucible (Rev. John Hale), Into the Woods (Baker), among others. Joe was a 2005 Level I YoungArts Winner and Presidential Scholar in the Arts in Theater, and he won the National Shakespeare Competition at Lincoln Center in 2004. He sang and beatboxed with the ICCA-winning SoCal VoCals, is an actor/combatant in the Society of American Fight Directors, and is a member of Boom Kat Dance Theatre. Joe currently studies acting with Larry Moss.

 


MEGAN HARVEY (Leslie McCurdy)–Born and raised in Western Montana, Megan moved to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California. While in school she appeared in Center Theater Group’s production of “Dead End”. After graduating with honors from the School of Theater, she began working in Los Angeles as an actress on stage and in film.  A dancer for most of her life, Megan’s most recent appearance on stage was in Boom Kat Dance Theater’s production of Neverwonderland. She also has performed at the Long Beach playhouse in “Little Women” as Meg, and in “The Children’s Hour” as Evelyn at Celebration Theater. Megan’s most recent film work has been in two independent features;  “The Daughter” and “Just the Vampire Hunter”; both slated for release in 2012. Her first feature,  “Etienne”, premiered at CineVegas and has since been shown at the New York United, Hawaii International, and Los Angeles United Film Festivals. Filmaker magazine said of her performance: “Megan Harvey plays a woman leaving town after suffering an unspecified emotional setback, and her beautiful performance transforms what might have been a one-joke film into something deeper and more open-ended”.

 


GUALBERTO DEL TORO (Three/Gabriel Moreno)–After working as an attorney for nearly ten years both in the private and public sector, Gualberto decided to fully pursue his passion for acting. He then moved to Los Angeles where he studied and graduated from The Sanford Meisner Center. He’s also an accomplished painter and a skilled mixed martial artist.

JACKSON PALMER (Derrick Altman) was born and raised in Somers, Montana. He began acting in high school and went on to earn a B.F.A in acting from the University of Montana. After touring the nation performing in such shows as Bus Stop, Leading Ladies, and To Kill a Mockingbird, Jackson made Los Angeles his permanent home where he pursues a career in both theater and film.

 


MARY ELLEN OSBORNE (Patricia Richardson) is a classically-trained East Coast actor, currently working in Los Angeles. She is represented by BBR.

 


STEPHEN BOWMAN (Palmer) is an actor and writer who lives in Los Angeles, CA. He is an alumni of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.

JONATHAN M. LEVINE (writer/director/executive producer) has been making movies since the fourth grade. A graduate of the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, Jonathan recently wrote and directed the feature “The Daughter” which has been sold worldwide by Fabrication Films and will be released in North America by Inception Media Group. As a screenwriter, Jonathan has developed projects with production companies such as Benderspink, Odd Lot Entertainment, Red Wagon and Sony. He produced the feature film “S.E.R.E.” which was profiled in Variety during March 2008. A Florida-native, Jonathan currently serves as technical director, editor, and post-production supervisor for “Larry King Now” and “Politicking with Larry King” on Hulu.com and RT America.

 


ALEX DARKE (producer) is an independent film producer and the CEO of MADjester Entertainment.

 


TREVOR L. NELSON (producer) has worked professionally in the film industry since a young age. He started producing films, documentaries, and commercials while still in middle school and continued to do so during his high school career. In hopes of expanding his skill set, he attended the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts, which he graduated from in 2007. Upon graduation, Trevor began working at USC producing course content, YouTube videos, promotional videos, commercials, event productions, and a multitude of other media in a wide range of mediums. All the while working at USC, Trevor was working with his first company, Nightvisions Entertainment. It is with Nightvisions Entertainment that Trevor is active in editing, directing, acting, and producing, with The Daughter being the first feature film he has produced.

 


LOGAN BURDICK (producer) is a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, and is an independent writer, producer, and director in Los Angeles.

ZAC MURPHY (director of photography) is a filmmaker and storyteller, with a background in computer science and industrial design.  In 2009, he founded Fly Eye Media with the vision to merge cinematic content and immersive media technologies.  The company’s first interactive project, Englishtown.com, launched in 2010 to receive that year’s Comenius Award in Education and Media and IMA’s Outstanding Achievement Award.  Fly Eye is actively developing original content for film and online ventures.  Most recently, Zac has directed media spots for BBH, Saatchi & Saatchi, The Bank and Virtual Identity, and for clients such as Siemens, Cadillac, Coca-Cola and P&G.

 


LAUREN CONNELLY (editor)–Originally from Chantilly, Virginia, Lauren graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Southern California in 2006, with a B.A. in Cinema-Television Production. She currently works as a freelance editor in Los Angeles on independent films, as well as a feature editorial assistant. Her feature film credits include: Horrible Bosses, Going the Distance, Land of the Lost, Have a Little Faith, and Semi-Pro.

 


KENNY LEVINE (musical score)is a multi-talented keyboardist, conductor, arranger and composer born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut who has called Jacksonville, Florida his home for the last 37 years. His credits include numerous jingles, television and film cues that can be heard in both the USA and abroad. He is currently the keyboardist, arranger and leader of KTG Entertainment (www.ktgentertainment.com) which performs for many major corporations and celebrity events that include Florida Governor Rick Scott and film and TV actor Bill Murray and his brothers throughout Southeast Georgia and all throughout Florida. A graduate of Jacksonville (Fla.) University with a degree in composition where he has also taught arranging and composition. Kenny has worked with Jonathan Levine on numerous film projects and is proud to be part of his latest project “The Daughter”.

 


MICHAEL HOUGH (sound design)–Capturing emotion and imagery through sound is Michael’s primary objective when creating his soundscapes. Michael studied saxaphone performance at the University of Georgia. After graduating, he toured and recorded with several group ensembles. As a recording artist, he contributed to the production of Riviter’s “Like Being Found” and SS Puft’s self-titled album. Michael has also composed and produced audio content for several film and interactive media products that have reached audiences worldwide. He is currently living and working Shanghai, China.
